As I approach my one year recovery journey I have a story to share with you.
Last October (2016) I finally surrendered to the reality that I needed to ‘do something’ about my chronic foot problem. About 20 years ago I injured my right foot in 2 places which resulted in a fairly severe arthritic joint in my big toe.
I always wondered if what I was paying money for at the supplement aisle in my favorite health food store was really giving my body what I hoped it was. Even worse, was my concern for my children. So many choices. Too many choices and so little guarantee.
In my last blog post I talked about the detox lifestyle and what it is. Let’s review.
A detox lifestyle (or clean lifestyle) is one that has a predominance of non-inflammatory foods in the diet, optimum hydration (with water), adequate rest and relaxation for de-stressing and rejuvenation, and adequate exercise and activity.
I am often asked this question when a conversation comes up about stomach disorders and acupuncture. ‘‘CAN ACUPUNCTURE HELP ME TO STOP NEEDING ANTACIDS ALL THE TIME?” or “WHAT ABOUT MY HEARTBURN?”
